01 Classification by production method

It can be divided into hot rolled profiles, cold formed profiles, cold rolled profiles, cold drawn profiles, extruded profiles, forged profiles, hot bent profiles, welded profiles and special rolled profiles.

02 Classified according to section characteristics

Can be divided into simple section profile and complex section profile.

Simple section profile cross section symmetry, appearance is more uniform, simple, such as round steel, wire, square steel and building steel.

Complex section profiles are also called special-shaped section profiles, which are characterized by obvious convex and concave branches in cross section. Therefore, it can be further divided into flange profiles, multi-step profiles, wide and thin profiles, local special processing profiles, irregular curve profiles, composite profiles, periodic section profiles and wire materials and so on.

04 Classification by section size

It can be divided into large, medium and small profiles, which are often classified by their suitability for rolling on large, medium and small mills respectively.
