The (RasAbuAboudStadium) for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will be detachable, according to Spanish newspaper Marca. The Ras ABU Abang Stadium, which was designed by Spanish firm FenwickIribarren and could accommodate 40,000 fans, is the seventh stadium to be built in Qatar to host the World Cup.

The RasAbuAboud Stadium, as it is called, is located on Doha’s eastern waterfront and features a modular design, each with movable seats, stands, toilets and other essentials. The stadium, which will last until the quarter-finals, could be broken up after the World Cup and its modules moved around and reassembled into smaller sporting or cultural venues.

The first mobile stadium in the prestigious competition’s history, it is one of the most spectacular and symbolic venues the World Cup has to offer, and its novel structure and name are both highlights of Katari’s national culture.

Each element used followed a rigorous standardization process, and the structure was predicted to be a great Mecano, which improved the serialization principles of prefabricated plates and metal supports: reversibility, conducive to tightening or loosening joints; Sustainability, using recycled steel. After the World Cup, the stadium could be dismantled in its entirety and transported to another site or become another sports structure.
